Seeker Capital was founded by practitioners who have built, structured, and raised capital for alternative strategies at the highest institutional level. Our model is selective by design: we work with a small number of managers where the edge is genuine and the ambition to build something enduring is real.
We bring advisory, fund architecture, and capital formation together in one senior relationship, removing the friction that too often separates a great strategy from the capital it deserves.

Seeker Capital was founded by John Lowry, who has built and successfully exited two category-defining businesses in the asset management industry, raising $14 billion for specialist alternative deals and fund managers along the way.
John co-founded and sold Tara Capital, a leading hedge fund placement agent, before establishing MontLake Capital, which he grew from $3 million to over $10 billion in assets to become the largest alternative UCITS platform globally, eventually becoming part of the Waystone Group in 2021.
Seeker Capital brings that structuring, capital-raising and manager-selection heritage together in one integrated platform: connecting differentiated alternative managers with the European allocators for whom they solve a genuine portfolio problem.
And we hold one conviction above the rest: the industry too often forces talented managers into structures that do not reflect their strengths. Seeker exists to correct that, interrogating each edge, then architecting the business around it.
